SPONSORSHIP
CRISIS ERUPTS Is Mom Behind Plan to Demolish Marquee Sponsor and Chill Other Funders? Disturbing
news today from the Minneapolis Community
Development Agency. The
redevelopment plan for the old Grain Belt property
may be expanded, which would result in the tragic
destruction of a landmark Dago producing bar named
Dusty’s as well as other neighborhood businesses. strib_story Bricker,
of Bricker’s B-Squad, was clearly miffed when made
aware of the situation. “Well
let’s face it, Bricker
continued in newly minted B-School lingo, “We are
in the midst of sensitive cash flow negotiations
with other potential equity investors.” These
sponsors are apparently considering backing out, now
that the Dusty's situation has become tentative. When
pressed to identify the other potential sponsors
Bricker would only say, “I can’t (ZIMA) tell
you. So
get out of my (ZIMA) face.” It
seems there is more than enough blame to go around
today. Despite
the emphatic I-blame-myself’s from AlPo, there
will be a meeting of the Blame Committee this coming
Wednesday night to formally place blame regarding
this sponsorship melt-down. This reporter thinks that the current situation must be the result of some plot involving the Million Mom March. How else can you explain the fact that this story broke on Mothers Day? Disturbing indeed.
